About Pearls.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
HATCHERY Parent oysters are carefully selected with the right qualities to breed the perfect golden color pearls
GRAFTING
A highly skilled master grafter insert a shell nucleus and a tissue graft (a small piece of mantle tissue) in the gonad, the reproductive organ of the Pinctada Maxima oysters.
POST OPERATION
After grafting, the oysters are placed in special boxes at 7-meter depth in order to minimize the oyster stress and limit the percentage of nucleus rejection for period of 3 months.
CULTIVATION PERIOD The oysters will stay in the deep water for period of 4 to 5 years and regularly cleaned to ensure the health of the oysters. During that period, a thick layer of nacre will coat around the inserted nuclei.
HARVEST After 4 to 5 years of tender care, a beautiful gem is born. During this magical moment, a lustrous golden pearl is extracted out from the oyster.
